The Cookie Connection Birthday Cookie Giveaway Official Rules
- Overview: Enter The Cookie
Connection Birthday Cookie Giveaway (“Promotion”)
to be eligible to receive one free dozen (12) cookies delivered
or sent to you during the month of your birthday. The Cookie Connection
will perform the monthly selection of the winner. Only entries
with birthdates during the same month as the drawing will be included
however you may submit your entry for your birth month at any
time during the Promotion.
- NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Promotion
begins on or about August 1, 2009 and ends July 31, 2010 (“Promotion
Period”). The Cookie Connection (“Sponsor”)
assumes no liability for damaged, lost or misdirected promotional
mail or email. Void where prohibited by law. One entry per person/unique
email address/birth date. Entrants must remain on The Cookie Connection’s
active contact list at the time of winner selection to be eligible
to win.
- Eligibility: Participation
open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years
of age or older. Entrants must remain on the “Opt-In”
list to receive email communications from The Cookie Connection
at the time of winner selection. Those who have chosen not to
receive email communication from The Cookie Connection will no
longer be eligible to win.
- How to Enter: Visit www.yoursweetneeds.com/birthday
to submit the required entry form. Submissions must include first
and last name, birthdate, email address and physical location
address to which the prize will be delivered or sent (Sponsor
will not ship to Post Office Boxes).
- Prize / Approximate Retail Value “ARV”
/ Odds of Winning: One (1) Grand Prize awarded each month:
One (1) dozen cookies, ARV $16.95 includes shipping/handling /
Odds are based on the number of eligible entries received. A total
of 12 Grand Prizes will be awarded during the Promotion period.
Cookie prize selection is determined by Cookie
of the Month Club schedule.
ALLERGY INFORMATION: Any
of our products may contain or may have been in contact with nut
and/or honey products.
- Winner Selection/Notification/Claim:
Winner will be selected randomly by electronic number generator
during the first 10 days of each month..Winners will be notified
via the email address used to register for the Promotion. Prizes
will be awarded within 4 weeks of winner notification. If you
have been identified and notified as a winner and receive official
winner notification email, you must complete our winner prize
claim form. Any unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.
- Conditions of Participation:
Grand Prize winners are solely responsible for participating in
the Promotion as well as claiming prize within 30 days of notification
of winning. Prize or entry may not be transferred or assigned
prior to award of prize. By participating, you agree to these
official rules and decisions of the judges which are final and
binding in all respects, and to release The Cookie Connection
and all other companies and individuals associated with The Cookie
Connection Birthday Cookie Giveaway from all claims or liability
relating to your participation or acceptance or use of prize.
Grand Prize winners must successfully complete our winner prize
claim form within 30 days of notification of winning. Noncompliance
with this time period will result in disqualification. Award of
the Grand Prize will be made directly to the winner. Promotion
subject to all federal, state, and local laws. Acceptance of prize
constitutes permission to the sponsor to use winner’s name
and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and promotion without
additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. Sponsor may
elect, at its sole discretion, to substitute any prize for an
alternate prize of equal or greater value. Sponsor and its agents
are not liable for any claims or damage associated with typographical
or other mechanical errors in the promotional mailing or emailing,
or the entry submission website. One entry per person/email address/birth
date.
- Verification: Sponsor reserves
the right to cancel or modify the Promotion or disqualify a participant
if fraud or technical failures destroy the integrity of the giveaway
as determined by the sponsor. If due to a production error, or
for any reason, more prizes are claimed than are intended, winner
may be awarded in a random drawing from among all eligible prize
claims received. In no event will more than the stated number
of prizes be awarded.
- Internet: Sponsor is not responsible
for lost or late entries nor for electronic transmission errors
resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in
operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized
access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical,
network, telephone and cell phone equipment, electronic, computer,
hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind,
or inaccurate transmissions of or failure to receive entry information
by sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion
on the Internet, network, or at any website or any combination
thereof. If for any reason the promotion is not capable of running
as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering,
unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, including
any network server or hardware failure or any other causes beyond
the control of the sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration,
security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this promotion,
the sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to cancel,
terminate, modify or suspend the giveaway and to award all prizes
from among all eligible entries received prior to action taken
by sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion,
to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the
entry process, the website, or the operation of the promotion.
Additionally, sponsor reserves the right to prosecute any fraudulent
activities to the full extent of the law.
- Confidentiality: Information
collected in connection with this promotion will be used in accordance
with The Cookie Connection’s privacy policy and these rules.

- NOTICE TO INDIVIDUALS REGARDING REMOVAL
FROM MAILING LIST: Any individual (or other duly authorized
person) may elect to exclude the name and address of that individual
from all lists used by the sponsor to mail or email. To elect
to have an individual’s name excluded from all such lists,
submit a removal request in writing to The Cookie Connection,
Name Removal, 411 South Main Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15215 or send
an email to info@yoursweetneeds.com
with the word REMOVE in the subject of the email.
- Winner’s List: For a
list of prize winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope
no later than August 31, 2010 to The Cookie Connection, Winners
List Request, 411 South Main Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15215. List
of winners will be available after September 1, 2010. Sponsor
not responsible for changes in postage rates therefore making
the self-addressed, stamped envelope unable to mail.
